NPort Converters with Built-in Ethernet Switch (Series NPort S8455/NPort S8458)

The NPort S8000 series converters are a combination of an RS-232/422/485 to Ethernet server and a managed Ethernet switch. NPort S8000 converters are relevant in tasks where it is required to collect data from several serial devices and from Ethernet devices at one point in order to further transmit information over a single copper or fiber optic network. Typical tasks for using the NPort S8000 are perimeter security systems, street or technological video surveillance, traffic light control, and environmental monitoring. Controllers and sensors can be connected to the serial interfaces of the NPort device, video surveillance cameras can be connected to the Ethernet ports .
