Dosing blade - an element of the laser cartridge responsible for the uniform supply of toner (powder). Depending on the type of laser cartridge, the blades can be of two types. It is a metal rectangle with a silicone stripe on one side.
Dosing blades are very fragile, and can easily bend when ineptly working with them. The blade is always located near the toner hopper and dispenses the amount of toner transferred by the magnetic shaft or the feed roller to the photodrum. Dosing blade is responsible for the thickness of the toner layer at the exit of the hopper.
