As a result, due to its pressure and heating by a thermocouple, the toner is fused into the paper fibers and the image is fixed. It consists of a metal rod and a layer of heat-resistant rubber applied to it.
The most common causes of rubber shaft failure:
< ul>mechanical damage when paper with paper clips or staples gets into the thermal unit;
twisting, deformation and tearing of the surface of the rubber roller due to exceeding peak printing loads and overheating of the fusing unit;
Natural wear of the rubber shaft during the passage of the declared print life of the thermal unit.
When replacing the shaft, it is also recommended to change the bushings (sleeves ) rubber shaft .
