Housing CSV 1U-F

The case of the original design for building servers based on desktop motherboards. One of the fundamental differences between server motherboards and desktop motherboards is the location of the processor socket and memory modules. The server boards are oriented to the longitudinal movement of air in the case, and the location of the memory modules on the desktop board completely blocks such airflow. That is, when building a 1U system, not only an expensive case is required, but also an expensive motherboard, the capabilities of which are often not used. Model CSV 1U-F at its small cost allows the use of inexpensive motherboards, significantly reducing the cost of the server. In the case, you can install motherboards form Micro ATX or Full ATX. The use of server boards with this case is not recommended due to the nature of the cooling system. For these boards use the CSV 1U-FS package.

The cooling system normally consists of two 40x40x28 mm fans with a total capacity of 30 CFM or 3 fans with a total capacity of 45CFM for the CSV 1U-FH version. Due to the optimal layout of the case, this is quite enough to build systems based on Intel Dual-Core, Core2Duo, Core2Quad processors or AMD Athlon 64, Phenom processors.

Two hard drives and an optical format slim drive are installed in the case. Winchesters are installed from the front panel on the slide, this allows you to replace the drives without getting the server from the rack.

One standard expansion card can be installed in the case.

The body is made of high quality 1 mm steel.
